Overview We are seeking a recent graduate or early‑career IT professional to join us as a Database and Integration Engineer on a full‑time basis. This role is ideal for someone eager to launch their career in a vibrant school environment, offering the chance to develop new skills, learn from experienced mentors, and progress into a specialist position. Responsibilities Support the administration and optimisation of our SQL Server database Learn to create and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and complex queries Assist with database performance tuning, backup, and security Get hands‑on experience with integration and automation tools (Workato, PowerShell, APIs) Help ensure data moves accurately and securely between systems Collaborate with system owners and IT colleagues to improve processes Qualifications A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or nearing completion) Some experience (internships, projects, or coursework) with SQL and scripting Eagerness to learn PowerShell, APIs, and integration platforms Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills A proactive, can‑do attitude and willingness to take ownership of tasks Excellent communication skills and a desire to work collaboratively Commitment to the Catholic and St Augustine's educational values and child safety Child Safeguarding Statement St. Augustine's College is committed to ensuring the safety and well‑being of all students.
