Cloud Database Engineer

Are you a Database Engineer looking for a new opportunity? As a Cloud Database Engineer at Thredd you will design, manage, and optimise cloud-based database systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and data security while supporting business‑critical applications. What you'll do as a Cloud Database Engineer Manage, maintain and support the database infrastructure mostly Microsoft SQL 2016 and above. Implementation of new projects as part of the development streams as well as platform improvements. Identification of issues, developing solutions, providing guidance and proposals, implementation, and support. What you'll have SME SQL 2016 Enterprise edition including ‘always‑on’ configurations, distributed replication and database management. Real world experience with Installation, Performance monitoring, Security, and high availability and backups. SQL monitoring and performance tools. A passion for technology and the need to understand what is new, working with others to question ways of working, plan implementations advancing the company and their knowledge. Experience working with development life cycle models including CI/CD pipelines. Excellent verbal and written communications. Excellent problem solving skills.
