The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join our group of passionate engineers, designers and project managers. The role can be offered on a permanent full‑time or part‑time basis and can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle or Brisbane. This is a mid‑senior level, full‑time position. Responsibilities Import & manipulate vendor drawings/models. Produce detailed mechanical drawings/models including P&ID’s. Export equipment/piping quantities. Collaborate with Mechanical/Process engineers to deliver plans for construction. Support project teams with documentation, revisions and coordination of drawings/models. Establish and maintain design templates and drawing standards. About You You’ll be seeking fulfilment through autonomy, career flexibility and working for a business that provides purpose and relevance in what you do. Qualifications Relevant TAFE qualification, diploma or degree in drafting, engineering or design. Skills and Experience Proficient with CAD and Autodesk Plant 3D. Experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, operational practices and relevant Australian standards. Strong attention to detail. Well‑developed verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team. Mindset and Behaviours Safety‑first, risk‑based approach to all design delivery. Commitment to working safely within the company’s HSEQ systems. Enthusiastic and motivated to learn from peers and senior team members. Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
