Mechanical Designer – Brisbane Beca HunterH2O is the Australian water business of Beca, a leading engineering consultancy. Join our team of 300+ water specialists as a junior to intermediate Mechanical Designer/Drafter for Brisbane. Key Responsibilities Import and manipulate vendor drawings and models. Produce detailed mechanical drawings and models, including P&ID’s. Export equipment and piping quantities. Collaborate with Mechanical and Process engineers to deliver construction plans. Support project teams with documentation, revisions and coordination of drawings and models. Establish and maintain design templates and drawing standards. Qualifications Relevant TAFE qualifications, diploma or degree in drafting, engineering or design. Skills and Experience Experience with CAD and Autodesk Plant 3D for piping and equipment modelling. Familiarity with technical drawings. Strong attention to detail. Well‑developed verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team. Mindset and Behaviours Safety‑first, risk‑based approach to all design delivery. Commitment to working safely within the company’s HSEQ systems. Enthusiastic and motivated to learn from peers and senior team members. Desirable Interest or experience in water and wastewater treatment and pipeline design.
