The more diverse we are, the better our ideas, strategies and client solutions will be.We are looking for a junior to intermediate level **Mechanical** **Designer/Drafter** to join our current group of passionate engineers, designers and project managers. This role will be **Brisbane** based.**Key Responsibilities*** Import & manipulate vendor drawings/models.* Produce detailed mechanical drawings/models including P&ID’s.* Export equipment/piping quantities.* Collaborate with Mechanical/Process engineers to deliver plans for construction.* Support project teams with documentation, revisions and coordination of drawings/models.* Establishing & maintaining design templates and drawing standards.**About you** You’ll be seeking fulfilment through autonomy, career flexibility, and working for a business that provides purpose and relevance in what you do. With outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence and drive successful project outcomes, you’ll have experience working in a consulting environment, delivering projects as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-office team.***Qualifications**** Relevant TAFE qualifications, diploma, or degree in drafting, engineering, or design***Skills and experience**** Experience with CAD and Autodesk Plant 3D for piping and equipment modelling* Familiarity with technical drawings* Strong attention to detail* Well‑developed verbal and written communication skills* Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team***Mindset and behaviours**** Safety‑first, risk‑based approach to all design delivery* Commitment to working safely within the company’s HSEQ systems* Enthusiastic and motivated to learn from peers and senior team members***Desirable**** Interest or experience in water and wastewater treatment and pipeline design**What we offer**A career with Beca will provide you with:* **Flexibility & Wellbeing:** We recognise that achieving a work-life balance is unique to everyone.
