People & Culture Manager – Co‑Hive Salary: $160,000 – $180,000 per year (including superannuation) Employment: Full‑time, on‑site only Location: Alexandria, Sydney Reports to: CEO Start date: 12th January 2026 Closing date: Wednesday, 17 December 2025 (interviews will begin immediately, so early applications are encouraged) About Co‑Hive Co‑Hive is a fast‑growing organisation supporting young adults (17‑35) with disability and neuro‑divergence who have low support needs. Our hands‑on, person‑centred programmes build real‑world skills for employment, further study and independent life. We bridge the post‑school gap with practical learning, strong relationships and an innovative approach that blends technology and creativity – helping participants grow in confidence, skills, independence and belonging. In under two years Co‑Hive has grown to 2 hubs, 15 staff + contractors, a dedicated offshore support team, 120+ participants each week, winner of “Best New Disability Business 2024” and finalist for “Best Employment Pathways Programme 2025”. About The Role This senior‑leadership role is designed for an experienced People & Culture leader who can shape and steer Co‑Hive’s culture, systems and people strategy as we expand into a new hub and areas of service. You will be the central person for all staffing, culture, HR systems, compliance, recruitment, Employment Hero and payroll, working closely with the CEO, General Manager, Finance and Operations teams. Your focus will be on ensuring a united, mission‑driven team that remains aligned, supported and engaging as we grow. You will also lead the development of staff well‑being initiatives, recognition programmes and landscape‑wide culture projects. Key Responsibility Areas Strategic Leadership, Culture & Impact – Lead and strengthen a workplace culture grounded in psychological safety, inclusion, well‑being and high performance. People & Culture Strategy – Develop and deliver Co‑Hive’s strategy that is aligned with our mission, values and future expansion. Staff Engagement – Ensure staff remain connected to Co‑Hive’s mission and values as the organisation grows and lead organisation‑wide well‑being and staff recognition initiatives. End‑to‑End People Lifecycle – Lead recruitment, design onboarding, induction and probation programmes, embed performance and career‑development frameworks and manage performance concerns. HR Technology Leadership – Oversee implementation and optimisation of Employment Hero, train managers and staff to use EH effectively and use the data to support forecasting and decision‑making. Policies, Compliance & Payroll – Develop, update and embed all HR‑related policies, keep the organisation compliant with SCHADS, Fair Work and other workforce requirements, work with Finance on payroll accuracy and lead the transition to the Co‑Hive Not‑For‑Profit Foundation (PBI). Qualifications & Experience Minimum 9 years’ experience in senior People & Culture / HR leadership roles. Strong, practical experience using Employment Hero. End‑to‑end recruitment and staff lifecycle experience. Deep understanding of Fair Work, WHS, and ideally SCHADS & NDIS requirements. Exceptional organisational, time‑management and attention to detail. Strong experience in performance management and difficult conversations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly. Comfortable working across all departments in a small, fast‑growing organisation.
