This is a Permanent Full Time appointment. What is our Dentist in Charge role? The Dentist in Charge directs and oversees the operations of the dental clinic and School Dental Service in the Kalgoorlie area. As well as managing staff and maintaining equipment, you will also provide routine and advanced clinical treatment to enrolled patients. You will also develop epidemiological data for the clinical area and initiate relevant community dental care programs aimed at improving dental health in the community by liaison with dentists, service organizations, education and local authorities and relevant community groups. Area profile DHS is part of the North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) and is the largest public dental health services provider in WA, operating state‑wide from a network of fixed and mobile clinics, funded by the WA Government. DHS provides the School Dental Service for children aged 5-16 years, General Dental Services to eligible adults with a current health care card or pension concession card, Subsidy Schemes and Special Dental Services. Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
