Dental Assistant An excellent opportunity for an experienced Dental Assistant. We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Assistant to join our team at the Melbourne Dental Center. The successful candidate will provide clinical assistance to the dentist and maintain an efficient and comfortable environment for our patients and members. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical assistance to the dentist. Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment. Support the Practice Manager and Dentist in Charge in fostering teamwork and efficient running of the dental center. Monitor patient day sheet to prepare for patient list and accommodate emergency patients. Coordinate with the dentist to call patients, escort them to and from surgery, and prepare them for the dentist. Assist the dentist with all aspects of clinical dentistry, including instrument and material setup, instrument transfer, and mixing of materials. Maintain infection control measures and comply with surgery changeover procedures. Clean and prepare surgery handpieces for sterilisation and process contaminated instruments. Comply with Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures. Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Essential Dental knowledge and experience. Neat appearance and good personal hygiene. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy. Demonstrated initiative and common sense. Basic computer skills. Desirable Experience in reception duties or interest in being cross‑trained in this area. Qualifications in radiography, sterilising, and / or first aid. Certificate III in dental assisting.
