Group and Team People and Culture Group and People and Culture Operations Team Location Town Hall Annexe – Level 2 Employment status Permanent – Full-time Classification Municipal Officer Level 3 Agreement Hobart City Council Enterprise Agreement 2024 Salary range $91,138 – $96,802 (13.5% superannuation) About the role This role is responsible for working collaboratively across the organisation to deliver agile, professional, people‑centred services that support the City’s strategic direction and values to enable the City to attract, develop, engage and retain the best talent and provide a seamless and engaging candidate experience. Role Accountabilities Deliver end‑to‑end recruitment services: job design, advertising, shortlisting, interviews, probity checks, offers, onboarding and induction. Create and review position descriptions and coordinate Mercer classification assessments. Develop and implement talent acquisition and management strategies aligned with City values and strategic goals. Partner with leaders and the Organisational Development Team to coach on career planning using the capability framework. Maintain data integrity and ensure consistent candidate communication. Offer expert HR advice across policies, legislation and enterprise agreements. Champion diversity, equity and inclusion; drive innovative talent strategies and ensure every candidate and employee enjoys a seamless engaging experience. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business, Organisational Development or a related field. Extensive experience in contemporary people‑centric HR practices within complex organisations. Creative talent acquisition and employer branding skills. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Passion for continuous improvement, teamwork and innovation.
