Pastry Chef:Buns and Beans Bakery, North Richmond Job Type Full-time (Monday to Saturday) - Pastry Casual (Thursday-Sunday) - Cook About Us Buns and Beans is a well known and loved community bakery specialising in creating traditional delicious and pastries, cakes, and bread. Our North Richmond store is the main kitchen to supply our three bakeries, North Richmond, Wilberforce and Windsor. Luxe Cocktail Bar is a stunning new evening spot in the heart of Windsor, specialising in tapas, cocktails and whiskey. Luxe is designed to create the perfect evening for all, through our carefully crafted menus. Job Description We are seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a strong background in pastry. You will be responsible for preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods, as well as contributing to product development and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. We're also looking for a talented and dedicated Cook/Chef to join us at Luxe. Our dream candidate will come from a strong and colourful background in the culinary field. Your responsibilities will include, preparing a variety of beautiful tapas dishes, deserts and contributing to the crafting of new flavour creations. Responsibilities Pastry Chef/ Baking assistant Decorate and present cakes & pastries in a visually appealing manner. Communicate directly with customers regarding special orders, create the custom cakes, and ensure their timely delivery. Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain a clean and organised kitchen. Ensure all baked goods meet quality and food safety standards. Chef/Cook Prepare for the upcoming food service weekly/daily. Develop and test new recipes to expand our offerings. Decorate and present dishes in a visually appealing manner. Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain a clean and organised kitchen. Ensure all food sent out meet quality and food safety standards. Collaborate and communicate with our team for efficient and smooth service Communicate with our team and customers to meet dietary requirements and special requests. Qualifications Pastry Chef / Baking assistant Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role. Strong baking skills and knowledge of various pastry techniques. Creative and artistic ability for dessert presentation. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Strong leadership and communication skills. Qualification or relevant certification is a plus. Cook/Chef Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role. Strong culinary skills and knowledge of the industry. Creative and artistic ability for presentation and menu development. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Strong leadership and communication skills. Qualification or relevant certification is a plus.
