We are currently looking for our next Leading Hand to join our passionate Parks and Gardens team to help keep our iconic Foreshore and CBD areas looking their best. About the role: As our Leading Hand, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing some of the South West’s most iconic Foreshore and CBD areas including; Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup, Meelup, and Port Geographe. Working closely with the Foreshore/CBD/Trades Supervisor, you’ll lead a small team of staff and contractors to deliver high-quality landscaping, irrigation, and minor construction projects. This is your chance to work in one of WA’s most picturesque regions, contributing to the presentation and safety of spaces enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. If you’re ready to lead a team and take pride in maintaining world-class public spaces, we’d love to hear from you What your day-to-day will include: Formulating and implementing landscape maintenance programs. Supervising and mentoring team members. Overseeing routine maintenance of foreshore and CBD assets. Assisting with minor capital works and special events. Operating and maintaining a range of plant and equipment. Ensuring safety, efficiency, and exceptional customer service. As our successful applicant you will be able to demonstrate the following: Extensive experience in horticulture and open space maintenance. A natural leader with strong communication and organisational skills. Comfortable using technology for administration and reporting. Safety-conscious and committed to continuous improvement. Hold (or ability to attain) a current MR Class Drivers Licence and White Card. Ability to obtain a National Police Clerance not more than 6 months old.
