About the department The department of Anatomical Pathology provides services to over 20 public hospitals in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. It is the one of the largest public Anatomical Pathology departments in Victoria. About the role The Department of Anatomical Pathology are seeking a temporary 6 month, full time or part time job share Medical Laboratory Technician Grade 1 to perform specimen registration, routine Histology, frozen sections and maintenance on the evening shift working Monday to Friday 3.30pm - midnight. As a Medical laboratory Technician at Austin Health, you will work collaboratively with a supportive team of professionals including laboratory assistants, scientists and pathologists. You'll enjoy our continuing education and quality improvement strategies. About you You will be someone who has good communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail. You'll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset. Having previous experience in a laboratory is favourable.
