Ready to make a difference as a Care Support Worker? Good, well keep reading because this role won’t just make a huge difference to the lives of those living with neurological conditions – it’ll make a big difference to your life too. Supporting our clients living with neurological conditions (including MS, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, Motor Neurone Disease, Acquired Brain Injury and Stroke) our City Beach Respite Accommodation facility supports clients in a warm, homely, and friendly environment. Close to the beach and local amenities including transport, it is staffed by a welcoming, friendly team. Typically, clients tend to stay for one or two weeks, to get the much needed rest and recovery they need. How You Can Make a Difference Every Day Providing personal care (e.g., showering and dressing) to promote health and well-being. Medication administration & assistance. Meal preparation and other household duties (the small stuff makes a huge difference) Working to meet the unique needs of the client by following their individualized care plans and helping them achieve their defined goals. Our ‘must haves’ NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain.) Provide First Aid certificate – less than 12 months old (we can help you here if not) Our ‘nice to haves’ Experience in a similar role – either within disability or aged care support. A positive attitude (makes a huge difference) A Certificate III in a relevant discipline.
