In your new role you will support workforce sustainability, leadership development, and cultural transformation at Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service. You will oversee the design and implementation of programs and strategies that enhance organisational culture, strengthen leadership capability, enable workforce planning, and expand talent pipelines. About your opportunity: Culture Transformation – Driving values‑based engagement, diversity and inclusion initiatives, employee recognition programmes, and leadership development to improve the employee experience. Workforce Planning – Delivering strategic workforce design and planning to meet current and future service needs, including student placement programmes, early talent initiatives, and pipelines to attract and retain a skilled workforce. Leadership Development – Strengthening leadership capability through structured programmes, management development, and career progression pathways. Capability Development – Enhancing the capability of existing staff through professional development opportunities, targeted training programmes, and skills development aligned with compliance and competency frameworks. About you: You have proven ability to design and deliver complex, organisation‑wide workforce strategies. You can demonstrate success in leading large‑scale reform, culture change, and leadership development initiatives in complex, regulated environments. You are successful in translating complex workforce data and research into actionable insights, driving innovation, continuous improvement, and best‑practice workforce solutions. You have highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills. You are experienced in leading and developing high‑performing, multidisciplinary teams and managing financial, human, and project resources to deliver strategic objectives.
