Your opportunity We’re seeking a committed and driven asset coordinator to oversee maintenance and repair of Port Authority assets, ensuring optimal performance, safety compliance, and efficient daily operations. The role additionally provides support supervising contractors to maximise asset efficiency, availability, and value in line with Port Authority objectives. This role will report into Lead Asset Coordinator and will be based at Sydney. Here’s how your impact will truly count: Assess, diagnose, repair, and maintain Port Authority assets across multiple sites, including event venues, public spaces, critical infrastructure, gangways, wharves, and essential systems. Supervise tradespeople and maintenance contractors, ensuring work is allocated effectively, performance is monitored, and maintenance meets high-quality standards. Provide hands‑on technical support, conduct inspections, perform diagnostics, and resolve issues promptly to ensure asset reliability and compliance. Enforce WHS regulations, industry standards, and maritime safety requirements, including risk assessments, permits, and contractor safety documentation. Utilise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track maintenance activities, maintain records, and support budget development for asset operations. What you’ll bring Demonstrated experience in asset maintenance or facilities management, with supervision in ports, transport hubs, maritime, industrial, or venue environments Trade qualification in either electrical, mechanical or construction (electrical preferred) Strong problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder relationship management skills. Sound knowledge of building systems, maritime infrastructure, venue maintenance, and WHS regulations. Proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Office, and interpreting technical reports and engineering/architectural drawings. Familiarity with maritime safety regulations, public assembly building compliance, and emergency procedures. Experience responding to and participating in emergency situations, taking the lead as technical coordinator for mechanical or electrical issues Available to work outside regular hours of 7 am – 7 pm (evenings, weekends and public holidays) when necessary Current NSW Driver’s Licence What matters most is that you’re an exception and self‑driven team player who can work autonomously.
