Location: Melbourne, Australia Reference: Employment type: Part‑Time, 0.8 FTE, ongoing Seniority level: Entry level Job function: Other About the Role This position sits within the Homelessness Cluster which aims to improve the health, wellbeing, housing, and social outcomes of people experiencing homelessness in the Inner North‑West of Melbourne. Lived experience of homelessness, mental ill‑health, or substance use, and recovery, complemented by first‑hand experience engaging with the service system as a client. Lived Experience Workers address immediate crisis support needs, through to longer term support to establish safe and affordable long‑term housing. Please refer to the Position Description for more information. Your Duties Share lived experience where appropriate, relevant, and purposeful to the recovery journey of the consumer. Provide community‑based support in partnership with clients, that is strengths‑based, recovery‑oriented, and goal directed. Work collaboratively with clients, carers, and community services to conduct assessments, identify goals, and support the implementation and review of care plans. Facilitate peer‑led and therapeutic groups that support recovery, social connection, and skill development. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ideal Candidate Demonstrated lived experience and/or relevant tertiary qualification with the ability to use personal experience to support others. Sound understanding of the Social Determinants of Health, Trauma‑Informed Care, recovery models and strengths‑based practice. High‑level interpersonal skills, including the ability to form respectful, professional relationships. Strong belief and personal alignment with cohealth values and mission.
