Responsibilities Lead QAO's finance team which manages payroll, financial transactions and procurement. Provide expert financial analysis and advice. Deliver QAO's financial statements. Oversee implementation of the Queensland Government's revised procurement policy. Support the transition to a new finance system. Use an analytical mindset and collaborative approach to shape systems, processes and reports that enable efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement. This is a temporary role through to December to backfill the finance manager while they implement a new finance system. We provide independent, professional audit and assurance services, giving parliament and the public trusted assurance and insights. We have hundreds of audit clients from a wide range of industries across the beautiful state of Queensland. We support the Queensland Parliament in holding entities to account for the effective, efficient, and economical use of public resources. We also engage with many other stakeholders, such as integrity bodies, accounting standards boards, and Australian and international audit offices.
