We have a great opportunity within the Port Kembla region for an experienced trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Diesel Fitter to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance of cranes, truck mounted EWP’s (travel towers) floats/trailers and various other plant and access machinery. Responsibilities Performing repairs and services in accordance with work orders and scheduled services Monitoring and maintaining service records, logbooks and defect sheets Requisitioning parts as needed Performing job safety analysis prior to commencing allocated jobs Documenting and completing all reports on equipment repaired or serviced Ensuring that the work area, tools and equipment are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition Ensuring compliance to the organisation's Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Management systems Operating plant as and when required Qualifications Prior experience with cranes and/or lifting equipment (desirable) A willingness to work on weekends on an ad hoc basis as required Ability to work shifts if required #J-18808-Ljbffr
