Our reputable civil construction company is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Officer with a focus in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to join our growing team. The Role As the Finance Officer, your primary focus will be the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Your contributions will directly impact our financial operations, ensuring efficient cash flow and accurate financial management to support project delivery. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including invoice verification, data entry / coding, approvals, and payments. Oversee Accounts Receivable , ensuring timely invoicing, payment follow‑ups, and accurate record‑keeping. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly. Monitor outstanding payments and actively manage debtor accounts. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records for all AP and AR transactions. Assist with month‑end and year‑end financial closing activities. Provide financial support to our project delivery team where required. Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients. Qualifications Proven experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ; experience within the construction or civil engineering sector is desirable, but not a requirement. Strong understanding of financial principles, invoice processing, and payment systems. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage high‑volume transactions. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
