Salary in line with Local Government Award rates plus 12% Superannuation. About the Role As the Apprentice Greenspace (Parks) , you will: Assist in maintaining parks and gardens, including planting, pruning, mulching, fertilising, irrigation, and litter removal. Support playground safety: checking equipment for hazards, performing minor fixes, and reporting issues when needed. Learn and apply horticultural skills on the job under the guidance of experienced tradespeople. Operate and care for machinery and tools safely, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. Contribute to the community’s outdoor spaces, helping create safe, attractive, and welcoming parks and recreational areas. What You’ll Bring School Certificate, Higher School Certificate, Record of School Achievement (RoSA), or equivalent. Class C Driver’s Licence (P1 Licence also acceptable). Eligible for entry into the Certificate III Horticulture under Smart & Skilled Training. Demonstrated basic knowledge in and a genuine interest to pursue a career in Horticulture. Well‑developed communication and numeracy skills. Commitment to providing excellent customer service. Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team. Current provisional or Class C driver’s licence. WH&S Certificate (white card).
