Nurse Unit Manager - Department of Emergency Medicine Permanent Full-Time | North West Tasmania Searson Buck, incorporating NurseLine, is proudly partnering with a leading healthcare service in North West Tasmania to recruit an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to oversee the Department of Emergency Medicine. About the Opportunity As the Nurse Unit Manager of the Department of Emergency Medicine, you’ll lead and inspire a dedicated team of healthcare professionals while overseeing the daily operations of the unit, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care, safety, and team performance. This permanent, full-time position offers the opportunity to lead a skilled and compassionate team in a supportive environment where your leadership will make a meaningful difference to both patients and staff. What’s on Offer Permanent full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight Salary: $130,203 - $136,295 per annum plus 12% superannuation Postgraduate allowance of up to 10% depending on qualification type Relocation assistance available Generous leave and professional development entitlements Access to Fitness Passport - discounted memberships across 40+ facilities in Tasmania Salary packaging and meal entertainment benefits available What You’ll Do Lead and mentor nursing staff across all shifts within the Emergency Department Oversee clinical operations and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient flow and outcomes Manage staffing, rosters, and resource allocation Drive continuous improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practice Support staff development and engagement through coaching and education About You Must have Australian Working Rights Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Substantial experience in Emergency or Acute Care Nursing Proven leadership experience in a clinical environment with a commitment to fostering a positive, team-oriented culture Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills Ability to remain calm and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations Desirable Relevant postgraduate qualification in Emergency Nursing or Leadership and Management If you’re ready to take the next step in your nursing leadership career and contribute to the future of emergency healthcare in Tasmania, we’d love to hear from you.
