St John's Catholic College: St John's Catholic College Darwin is calling for applications for the position of Curriculum Leader - Inclusion Support Coordinator (Tier 2). Please note this is a three (3) year contracted position of responsibility (POR) with the POR commencing the beginning of Term 1, 2026. Primary Objective: In consultation with the identified Strategic Leadership Team member, and as a member of the Teaching and Learning Team, coordinate the effective funding and delivery of the Inclusion Support programs at St John’s Catholic College, Darwin. The duties and responsibilities of this position are in addition to the employee’s primary role and responsibilities Maintain membership and regular involvement with appropriate professional associations for networking, collegiate support and maintenance of professional standards of Inclusion Support Coordinators. Work collaboratively with students, parents / carers, college staff, the Catholic Education Office, the Department of Education and other relevant individuals and organisations for the appropriate provision of service for the Inclusion Support programs. Coordinate, develop and implement an appropriate Inclusion Support program to ensuring the approach meets the social, emotional and educational needs of students with inclusive needs. Coordinate and manage a team of support staff, including: Inclusion Support Administrator, School Officer: Classroom Assistants, Inclusion Support Assistants and Learning Nest Tutors to maximise student support. Contribute as an active member of the Teaching and Learning Team and coordinate regular Inclusion Support meetings for appropriate school-based staff. Manage the data collection, funding application and request for service process to maximise support for students with inclusive needs. Liaise with the Finance Manager, Operations Manager and Line Manager regarding the allocation and acquittal of the inclusion support budget. Coordinate and support where appropriate the Learning Nest (after school homework centre). Engage parents / guardians of students with inclusive needs in the Inclusion Support process to ensure the regular two-way communication of information to best support the educational needs of their children. Where requested, support the Principal in the enrolment process of students with inclusive needs. Provide professional learning opportunities to teaching and inclusion support staff to build capacity to better support gifted and talented students, and students with additional needs. Monitor, review and make recommendations regarding the Inclusion Support program at the College. Any other duties as directed by the Principal. Selection Criteria: Refer to Classroom Teacher position description. Maintain a current Northern Territory Working with Children Check (Ochre Card). A demonstrated understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission. Level of ICT literacy to undertake the responsibilities of the position. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to work in accordance with college, system and jurisdiction policy, processes and legislation. Highly Desired: Formal qualifications in the area of Inclusive / Special Education. Certification and/or experience in working with students from a trauma background. Experience coordinating, developing and implementing a collaborative approach to Education Adjustment Plans for students with a range of additional needs. Knowledge, understanding and capacity to manage the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) process. Knowledge, understanding and capacity to manage the data collection, funding application and request for service process to maximise support for students with additional needs (Catholic Education Northern Territory’s INSPIRE system).
