Torrens Health is seeking a highly skilled full-time Network and Support Engineer to support the design, delivery, and maintenance of secure and reliable IT systems across all entities within the group. This pivotal role ensures our technology infrastructure operates seamlessly, enabling teams to provide exceptional healthcare and support services nationally. As part of our IT team, you will oversee network architecture, server and system maintenance, disaster recovery readiness, IT security, and high quality end user support. You will also support enterprise platforms including LMS, ERP related issues, telephony systems, domain administration, patching, monitoring, and hardware lifecycle management. This is a diverse, hands on role suited to a proactive engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimise network infrastructure to meet organisational needs Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions for improvement and scalability Monitor network performance to identify issues and implement optimisation strategies Troubleshoot and resolve network problems to minimise operational disruption Apply and maintain strong network security practices and system controls Provide high quality technical support to end users across the organisation Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, incidents, and resolutions Support payroll and invoicing processes within required timeframes Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity activities Liaise with suppliers for hardware repairs, replacements, and procurement Participate in the on call roster as required Perform additional duties as needed in a dynamic, fast paced environment About You Essential Qualifications & Skills Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including basic router configuration, LAN/WAN concepts, and troubleshooting Experience supporting and managing wireless access points (APs) and business Wi‑Fi environments Familiarity with hosted telephony solutions (Hosted PABX/VoIP) administration and support Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and controls, including endpoint protection and access controls Hands‑on experience with Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) tools and endpoint security platforms (e.g., Sophos) Experience managing security configurations such as allow lists/block lists, web filtering, and application/device policies Experience using patch management and remote monitoring & management (RMM) tools to maintain endpoint compliance and availability Strong documentation capability including SOPs, support runbooks, and operational processes Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and proven troubleshooting/problem‑solving ability Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced service environment Experience Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar IT Support / IT Engineering / Systems Administration role (healthcare or service‑focused environments preferred) Demonstrated experience supporting business‑critical systems across Microsoft 365, endpoints, networking, Wi‑Fi, and telephony Experience working with diverse teams and stakeholders, including non‑technical operational users Exposure to operational environments with compliance considerations (e.g., healthcare, workforce scheduling, privacy/security expectations) Proven experience coordinating IT tasks/projects, including rollout planning, stakeholder updates, and vendor coordination Strong practical skills in tools and platforms commonly used in IT operations (e.g., Excel, ticketing systems, M365 admin, security consoles) Vendor management experience (liaising with service providers, managing support escalations, coordinating deliverables and timelines) About Us The Torrens Health group is a leading provider of care, support services & healthcare staffing solutions.
