Aged Care and Disability Trainer & Assessor Position Title: Aged Care and Disability Trainer and AssessorEmployment Type: Full-time / Part-time / ContractLocation: Burwood, NSW, 2134Reports To: Training Manager / RTO Manager The Aged Care and Disability Trainer and Assessor is responsible for delivering high-quality vocational training and assessment to learners undertaking qualifications in the Aged Care and Disability sectors. The role ensures students gain the knowledge, practical skills, and industry readiness required to work safely, legally, and effectively in community, residential, and disability care settings. Training Delivery Deliver engaging, compliant, and up-to-date training in aged care and disability support qualifications (e.g., CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support , CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support , CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support ). Facilitate classroom, online, blended, and workplace-based learning. Use a variety of training methods to accommodate different learning styles. Assessment Conduct fair, valid, consistent, and flexible assessments in accordance with RTO and ASQA requirements. Mark assessments, provide timely feedback, and support students through their learning journey. Conduct workplace observations and practical skills assessments. Compliance & Documentation Maintain accurate training records, assessment evidence, and competency outcomes. Ensure all learning materials and practices meet the Standards for RTOs 2015. Participate in validation and moderation processes. Student Support Provide academic support, mentoring, and pastoral care to diverse learners, including those with additional needs. Monitor student progress and implement strategies to support retention and completion. Industry Engagement Maintain current industry knowledge and vocational competency. Engage with placement providers, supervisors, and industry stakeholders to ensure training aligns with industry needs. Support the coordination of work placement activities. Requirements TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent upgrade). Current industry experience in aged care, home care, disability support, or similar. Vocational competencies relevant to the qualifications delivered (e.g., Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Ageing Support, Disability Support). Current National Police Check , Working with Children Check , and NDIS Worker Screening (as required). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with learners from diverse backgrounds. Desirable Criteria Experience working within an RTO or VET sector. Experience delivering online or blended learning. First Aid and CPR qualifications (HLTAID011 / HLTAID009). Ability to contextualise training materials for different workplaces. #J-18808-Ljbffr
