Toot Toot, Beep Beep HammondCare Wahroonga is looking for a Mini‑bus Volunteer Driver for our aged‑care residents to enjoy an outing in the local area. You will be accompanied by care staff who will look after the residents' care needs. Responsibilities Be a safe and confident driver to assist staff during bus outings Provide social support and interact during activities Your impact Volunteering as a minibus volunteer can be a rewarding experience, both for the people you interact with as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. Commitment Regular – less than 6 months Time Required Bus trips generally run for 1‑2 hours between 9:30‑11:30 am and 1‑3 pm. We can discuss a suitable day of the week or fortnight that suits your availability. Training All HammondCare volunteers receive training and on‑going support from a local volunteer coordinator.
