About the Role We are seeking a forward-thinking and experienced audit and assurance professional to lead the Department’s contemporary internal audit program. This senior role offers the opportunity to drive innovation, deliver strategic advice, and strengthen governance and accountability across a large and complex public sector organisation. This position effectively manages all aspects of the internal audit function to ensure the quality performance of internal audit services through collaboration with the outsourced internal audit service provider. The role ensures internal audit strategies, plans, programs and operations align with DFES’ strategic and operational objectives and provides independent and expert advice on internal audit and controls to the DFES Commissioner, Audit and Risk Management Committee and our Corporate Executive.
