Tell me about this role: We are currently looking for an NV1 cleared Operational Airworthiness Support Officer to join our team on a permanent basis. You will provide specialist Operational Airworthiness services to undertake project planning, assessment and system delivery. What will I be doing day to day? Provide subject matter expert advice on OPAW within the context of the Defence Aviation Safety Framework. Develop risk management plans utilising Army’s risk management tools in accordance with Defence Aviation Safety Framework policy Develop the establishment and maintenance of rotary wing Military Air Operator (MAO) OPAW Operational Authorisations Plans Assist in the development of policy relating to Army’s Flying Management System, Operational flying safety and the management of risk Develop, review, progress and provide SME advice supporting Defence Aviation Safety Regulation (DASR) approvals and instruments What sort of skills do I need? Demonstrated experience within the Australian Army Aviation capability and Operational Airworthiness Defence Aviation Safety Regulations and application within the Operational and/or Technical Airworthiness contexts Experience within a military headquarters or Capability Sustainment Acquisition Sustainment Group Project/Program Office Experience supporting or improving an aviation safety management system Australian citizenship with NV1 security clearance and ITAR compliance What’s in it for me?
