Part time position available – 28 hours a week We are seeking a proactive and organised Business Support Officer to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our ACT office. Business Support Officer Part-time position - 28 hours per week Workdays are Thursday and Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm, with flexibility for the remaining hours. This is a pivotal role providing hands‑on support across administration, IT, facilities, safety, and staff onboarding — helping to create a positive, productive environment for both staff and clients. About the Role Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, the Business Support Officer ensures that systems, resources, and compliance processes are in place to support high‑quality service delivery. You will: Be the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries. Coordinate office logistics, travel, events, and resources. Support HR functions including interviews, onboarding, and training. Provide basic IT support and liaise with external service providers. Oversee WHS compliance, facilities maintenance, and fleet management. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and data for reporting and audits. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and making a tangible impact behind the scenes. About You You’re a self‑starter who takes pride in creating efficient systems and supporting a cohesive team environment. You’ll bring: At least 3 years’ experience in a similar administrative or operational role. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Confidence using Microsoft Office and internal systems. A proactive, solutions‑focused attitude and attention to detail. Experience working in a culturally diverse or community‑based organisation. Qualifications and Checks Relevant qualifications and/or significant work experience. Current Driver’s Licence and comprehensively insured vehicle. Willingness to undergo a Police History Check. Eligibility to work in Australia and compliance with MCCI vaccination policy.
