About the Role We’re seeking an accomplished Head of HSE with strong commercial construction experience to lead our health, safety and environmental strategy across the Group. This role will oversee safety systems, compliance and culture across multiple divisions and sites – ensuring every project is delivered to the highest safety and environmental standards. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and site teams to embed consistent processes, strengthen behaviours, and drive continuous improvement across our growing portfolio. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of Group‑wide HSE systems and strategy. Oversee compliance with Victorian OHS legislation, codes, and ISO standards. Partner with divisional leaders on risk management, audits, and corrective actions. Conduct site inspections across live environments and occupied projects. Coach and mentor Project Managers, Site Managers, and Supervisors. Deliver training, toolbox sessions, and incident investigations. Support sustainability and environmental initiatives across the Group. About You Proven senior HSE leadership within commercial construction or a tier 2/3 environment. Strong understanding of building safety requirements for live or complex sites (schools, community facilities, remediation, or multi‑residential). Confident engaging from boardroom to site, influencing culture and accountability. Cert IV or Diploma in WHS (essential); tertiary qualifications in Safety, Environmental Management, or similar (preferred). Collaborative, pragmatic, and proactive in approach.
