Requirements for this role: Flexible hours available 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role Expected salary: $31 - $45 per hour Position Overview Bar Staff are responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience through efficient beverage service, professional presentation, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming bar environment. They play a key role in customer satisfaction and the overall atmosphere of the venue. Key Responsibilities Customer Service Greet patrons warmly and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Take drink orders accurately and efficiently. Provide recommendations on beverages, cocktails, and specials. Ensure customers feel valued and attended to throughout their visit. Beverage Preparation & Service Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards. Pour beers and wines following correct techniques. Prepare cocktails with consistency and attention to detail. Monitor drink quality and presentation. Operations & Compliance Check identification and ensure all service complies with RSA requirements (Responsible Service of Alcohol). Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, utensils, and equipment. Replenish stock including spirits, beer, wine, garnishes, ice, and glassware. Operate POS systems, handle cash, and process payments accurately. Follow venue policies, OH&S guidelines, and workplace safety procedures. Teamwork & Communication Work collaboratively with bar, floor, and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service. Communicate effectively during busy periods and share updates on stock or service issues. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required. Essential Valid RSA certification. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments. Attention to detail and consistency in drink preparation. Desirable Previous bar, café, or hospitality experience. Knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits. Experience with POS systems. Barista or coffee-making skills (if applicable). Personal Attributes Friendly, positive attitude with a strong customer focus. Reliable and punctual. Well-presented and professional.
