Domestic and Family Violence Clinical Team Leader CatholicCare Central Queensland – Rockhampton QLD Full Time Position based in Rockhampton (Monday to Friday) $60.27 per hour plus generous salary packaging options Ongoing Training and Development opportunities CatholicCare Central Queensland delivers a comprehensive range of Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) therapeutic services across the Rockhampton and Central West regions. The Domestic and Family Violence Clinical Team Leader provides leadership and oversight for all roles delivering therapeutic interventions, including the Men’s Behaviour Change Program, Supporting Adolescent Boys Trial, DFV Child Counselling, and DFV Counselling for female aggrieved. This role ensures a strong and consistent clinical governance framework across the DFV service area. The DFV Clinical Team Leader is responsible for guiding a skilled team, prioritising the delivery of high-quality services, maintaining compliance with standards, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. Primary responsibilities Ensure the Clinical Team delivers outputs in line with funding agreements and investment specifications, including programs such as T315 (Children’s DFV Counselling), T320 (DFV Counselling), T328 (Perpetrator Intervention Program), and the Supporting Adolescent Boys Trial; Liaise with key stakeholders, uphold compliance with service standards, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery; Oversee daily operations and service delivery across DFV counselling services; Lead, mentor, and support a specialist team to ensure staff are skilled, performance-driven, and engaged; Ensure compliance with funding, reporting, and service delivery requirements; Build and maintain strong partnerships with community stakeholders and service providers; Promote services within the community through structured training, events, and information/education sessions. Qualifications and Experience Qualification in Social Work, Psychology or related Clinical discipline; Extensive experience delivering Domestic and Family Violence Services; Minimum 5 years’ experience in team leadership. Core Competencies Substantial knowledge of domestic and family violence dynamics and interventions, informed by trauma-informed and evidence-based practice; Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including clinical supervision, mentoring and performance management; Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the capacity to build collaborative relationships across courts, agencies, and community services; High level of clinical governance and quality assurance skills, ensuring services meet funding outputs, service standards, and best practice frameworks; Capacity to manage complex cases and support staff in high-stress or crisis situations, including responding to challenging behaviours and ensuring client safety; High level of cultural competency, with demonstrated ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and people of all backgrounds; Demonstrated ability to advocate for systemic change and deliver educational initiatives that promote prevention, awareness, and improved community outcomes; High level of knowledge of confidentiality, privacy, and mandatory reporting obligations under Child Protection and DFV legislation; Demonstrated financial and reporting acumen, including the ability to monitor program outcomes, interpret funding agreements, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements; Commitment to reflective practice and continuous improvement, with the ability to implement service enhancements and support ongoing staff development; High level of knowledge of issues impacting families and individuals, including child abuse, family separation, trauma, suicidal ideation, and self-harm. The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia, and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.
