The Deputy Vice‑Chancellor (Research and Innovation) The Deputy Vice‑Chancellor (Research and Innovation), a member of the University Executive, reports to the Provost and Senior Vice‑President, and is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies, policies and systems to achieve the University's strategic goals in research and innovation. The University seeks an inspiring, experienced and strategic leader with a deep understanding of the current issues, challenges and opportunities facing research‑intensive universities. They will bring substantial credibility as a world‑class researcher and scholar, along with extensive experience in research leadership. The successful candidate will be able to analyse developments across the Australian and international research landscape and translate these insights into effective policy and outcomes. The Deputy Vice‑Chancellor (Research and Innovation) will be adept at navigating a complex university environment and will provide leadership that aligns and advances the University's research agenda. They will build strong relationships across the institution, and with external partners, including international agencies, to support a whole‑of‑university approach to research and innovation. The position requires an accomplished researcher in their field who brings strategic clarity to a diverse research and innovation portfolio, champion new ideas, drives collaboration, and inspires excellence across the University.
