About the Role At Richmind WA, every role matters. We walk alongside people living with mental health and/or substance use challenges, helping them discover their own courage to shape their lives. Our services are led by compassion, recovery principles, and lived experience expertise. Why this role matters Recovery doesn't happen alone. As a facilitator, you'll: Lead Recovery Roadmap groups and individual sessions where residents feel safe, supported, and respected. Share your Lived Experience (appropriately and safely) to build trust, connection, and hope. Foster a culture of mutual learning, dignity of risk, and recovery‑oriented practice. Help co‑design group agreements so every voice is heard and valued. Collaborate with our Service Enhancement Team to keep improving and shaping our programs. This isn't just facilitation – it's creating a space where recovery can flourish. To Be Successful We're looking for someone who brings heart, courage, and commitment alongside the following: Essential (must have) It is a genuine occupational qualification of this position to have a lived experience of mental health / social and emotional wellbeing issues and recovery , in accordance with section 66(s)(c) of the Equal Opportunity Act ****. Previous experience in adult education, or workshop / group facilitation with the ability to adapt to a wide variety of learning needs. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a strong team orientation and consumer focus. High level understanding of the Peer Workforce, consumer education, and the mental health sector in WA. Demonstrated capacity to work as part of a team based on an ethos of collaboration, kindness, co‑operation, respect and mutual support. Demonstrated skills / understanding of managing effective and efficient delivery of education and training packages. Ability to work autonomously, use initiative, and provide leadership of a team to meet required outcomes. Desirable (nice to have) Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work. Experience working with people across a diversity of backgrounds. Understanding of the not-for-profit sector. We currently have two positions available in the Perth Metro area and one position in the Southwest, each offered as a 12-month fixed‑term contract. All roles are part‑time, with flexibility to work 3 to 4 days per week. Travel across the Perth Metro and Southwest are a requirement of the role. A pool car will be provided. Who are we?
