Group Strategy Director with our awesome team in
Sydney.The role:As the
Group Strategy Director , you will have the responsibility for the day to day functioning of the local strategy function, straddling the accountabilities of discipline contributor, and local agency and team leadership.This role requires extremely high degree of competency in the core functions of the strategic discipline, including but not limited to:Objective & challenge identificationTarget audience profiling & recommendation developmentConsumer journey mappingInsight & strategic territory identificationComms architecture designMedia platform & principle developmentTopline media channel selection & orchestrationMeasurement framework developmentCore responsibilities:Balancing effective and efficient deployment of personal and team resource in line with profitable resourcing guidance from the CSOTo ensure that direct reports are delivering craft outputs of the highest quality, consistent with the agency and client process.To work with the CSO and MD to calibrate and prioritise resource on an ongoing basis in view of local client priorities, organic revenue opportunities and the contract renewal cycle.Play an active role in identifying the local ‘big bet briefs’ that present opportunity for award worthy workTo effectively manage direct reports to help them develop as motivated, productive and passionate practitioners and members of the wider teamA bit about you:Strong and up to date grasp of the media landscape and the levers of effectiveness in media and communications more broadly10yrs+ Media Agency experience, 7yrs+ in Strategic DisciplineAble to support clients with ‘beyond the brief’ strategic support such as portfolio planning, budget setting, marketing plan developmentStrong understanding of the capabilities of both industry and proprietary tools and systems used within dentsu, able to guide junior team members on the outcomes they can supportAn optimistic attitude, able to positively and proactively contribute to the shape of the discipline, team and agency in a fast-moving industryWhat’s in it for you:Real flexibility to work when and where you feel most productive with our ‘Be the Best You’ policy which includes a $250 contribution to your home office set upThe opportunity to give back with dedicated volunteer leave and our whole-company event, One Day for Change5 weeks annual leave after 2 years of service and 3 whole company Wellness days off per year for you to switch off and take your day, your wayCareer Development and Learning & Development opportunities, including access to our global online dentsu UniversityBecome a champion for meaningful progress:Our diverse and inclusive culture enables our employees to bring their whole selves to work and be proud of doing so.
