Job Description Position : Disability Support Worker Location : South East Queensland We are looking for reliable committed and experienced disability support workers to join our team. Responsibilities Provide assistance with personal care medication and meal preparation. Support clients to attend appointments and grocery shopping. Work with challenging behaviours PBSPs and care plans. Offer domestic support and household tasks. Assist with the use of assistive technology. Facilitate community inclusion and participation in activities venues and services. Follow Positive Behaviour Support Plans and / or Care Plans. Work as part of a team and participate in team meetings and training. About the Role On a day-to-day basis you will: Support daily living ensuring maximum opportunity for developing independence and achieving goals. Provide opportunities for choice and control and participation in matters relating to the home as well as facilitating access to community services as required. Carry out and promote positive routines in a cooperative respectful and flexible manner which are meaningful and purposeful to the participant. Facilitate community inclusion and participation to establish and maintain relationships and interests through access to community activities venues and services. Follow Positive Behaviour Support Plans and / or Care Plans. Work as part of a team and participate in team meetings and training. Mandatory Requirements Current First Aid & CPR Certificate Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent experience Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and NDIS Screening Card (Yellow Card) or willing to obtain prior to commencement Current Australian Drivers Licence Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance Preferred but Not Essential Manual handling training Administration of medication training Industry experience working with challenging behaviours mental health disability or other relevant experience will be highly regarded What We Offer We believe our people are the key to our success and we foster a supportive friendly and creative working environment.
