DENTAL ASSISTANT TRAINEE

Begin your journey to becoming a fully qualified dental assistant with Bendigo Health What you'll learn: As a Dental Assistant Trainee at Bendigo Health, you'll develop the skills to provide clinical chair-side assistance to dental operators. You learn to prepare and provide equipment, dental materials and instruments for each patient according to dental treatment. You will also learn to prepare, maintain and manage the work areas for dental treatments and procedures, including recording dental histories and medical information. Key responsibilities: Complete all modules of the Certificate III in Dental Assisting Follow directions from qualified staff Engage in learning opportunities Seek guidance from dental technicians and prosthetists Meet deadlines and prioritize tasks Liaise with clinicians on appliance matters Provide high-quality service and support clinical effectiveness Ensure safety, quality, and risk management Complete mandatory training and adhere to infection control standards Collaborate with team members for efficient operations Participate in professional development and training Build relationships with teams and professionals Follow Bendigo Health's Code of Conduct and policies Maintain confidentiality and respect for others Seek feedback and set performance goals A valid and satisfactory Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain) A current Victorian driver's licence is required for this position A current influenza vaccination (or willingness to obtain) Understanding and interest in healthcare Demonstration of values aligned with Bendigo Health Demonstrated knowledge of basic aspects of Dental Assisting Proven ability to learn and commit to study requirements Basic customer service skills focused on patient-centred care Willingness to accept feedback and learn effectively on the job Proficiency in using patient databases, email, and Microsoft Word A positive, friendly, and helpful personal approach Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clinicians and patients Ability to thrive in a busy and dynamic environment Key selection criteria Essential: A valid and satisfactory Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain) A current Victorian driver's licence is required for this position A current influenza vaccination (or willingness to obtain) Understanding and interest in healthcare Demonstration of values aligned with Bendigo Health Demonstrated knowledge of basic aspects of Dental Assisting Proven ability to learn and commit to study requirements Basic customer service skills focused on patient-centred care Willingness to accept feedback and learn effectively on the job Proficiency in using patient databases, email, and Microsoft Word Desirable: A positive, friendly, and helpful personal approach Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clinicians and patients Ability to thrive in a busy and dynamic environment Contact: emailing*******@cvgt.com.au About Bendigo Health Bendigo Health, with over 4,500 staff and volunteers, serves a quarter of Victoria.
