Position We are seeking a Casual Maintenance Assistant to support the smooth running of our aged care facility and independent living units. Responsibilities Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks. Assist with scheduled upkeep to keep spaces safe and appealing. Maintain external cleanliness of the facility and grounds. Respond to maintenance requests and assist with repairs. Follow safe work practices, PPE use, and manual handling procedures. Help residents feel at home by maintaining a secure and welcoming environment. Qualifications Hands‑on, proactive approach to maintenance and repairs. Basic knowledge of building upkeep, gardening, or general handyman skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of (or willingness to learn) health and safety practices. Manual driver’s license preferred. Current Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain). Ideally up‑to‑date flu vaccination and at least 2 COVID vaccinations.
