Maintenance Assistant

Join a dynamic team managing 150+ premium holiday apartments in the heart of Surfers Paradise. About the Role Coastal Letting Co. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Assistant to oversee the upkeep and presentation of our holiday apartment portfolio to ensure a seamless experience for our guests and owners through proactive property care. Key Responsibilities Positive, hands‑on attitude and a genuine eye for detail Oversee maintenance across 150+ holiday apartments Develop an ongoing preventative maintenance plan Carry out minor repairs and preventative maintenance, including: Patching, painting, and general cosmetic repairs Minor plumbing tasks (e.g., leaking taps, blocked drains) Furniture repairs and basic appliance troubleshooting Maintain accurate records of maintenance works and compliance Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers when required to undertake maintenance tasks unavailable for completion in‑house Coordinate with our Maintenance Manager and General Manager to obtain owner approval before proceeding with repairs by outside contractors Respond promptly to maintenance requests Ensure apartments are presented to a high standard at all times What We’re Looking For Proven experience in a similar maintenance role Trade background preferred but not essential Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general property upkeep Must hold a current driver’s licence Why Join Us Be part of a supportive, locally‑owned team passionate about hospitality and property care Work in a high‑profile location in Surfers Paradise Enjoy autonomy in your role while making a real impact on guest satisfaction To Apply: If you're a hands‑on leader with a passion for property maintenance and holiday accommodation, we’d love to hear from you.
