Senior Project Manager / Program Manager - Insurance Transformation 12-Month Contract | $1,200 inc Super Per Day | Sydney (Hybrid – Wednesday Essential) CBD A major enterprise insurance organisation is kicking off a critical transformation stream and is seeking a Senior Project Manager verging on Program Manager to lead a core Guidewire delivery team across a high-impact, business-critical program. This role sits within a well-established Technology Delivery function and will drive a complex modernisation of legacy platforms into a modern cloud-based environment. High visibility, strong sponsorship, and a mature governance structure already in place. The Opportunity Take ownership of a major delivery stream spanning Guidewire (Claims, Billing, Policy) and multiple digital squads. Manage a large internal and partner-led delivery ecosystem (~60 resources) while steering planning, governance, risk, compliance, and delivery cadence. Perfect for a seasoned Senior PM ready to stretch into broader program leadership. What You’ll Be Leading Enterprise‑scale Guidewire modernisation across Claims, Billing & Policy Migration from legacy platforms to cloud‑based architecture Leadership of a core Guidewire delivery team + digital squads Day‑to‑day coordination across internal teams and external delivery partners Oversight of UAT, environment readiness, RAID, governance, financials & reporting Managing delivery cadence, compliance checkpoints and risk controls Driving alignment across ~60 resources (BAs, Engineers, Vendors, PMO) Ensuring cultural cohesion across internal teams and implementation partners Why This Role Stands Out Stable, long‑tenured team with strong delivery support Backfill due to an internal move — not a project rescue Substantial delivery budget (~$20M) Strong executive sponsorship & Steering Committee visibility Opportunity to step into a Program Manager–level remit Hybrid working with an anchor day every Wednesday What They’re Looking For Senior PM or emerging Program Manager with Insurance transformation experience Background delivering Guidewire, Claims, Policy, Billing, or other enterprise platforms Strong vendor and partner leadership — able to manage cultural differences and expectations Deep experience with risk, compliance, governance and delivery controls Comfortable leading large-scale delivery engines (~60 people) Confident engaging senior business, digital, and tech stakeholders Human‑centred communicator who builds trust quickly #J-18808-Ljbffr
