WAITER/WAITRESS

We are looking for a committed and passionate waiter/waitress to join our team at Griffith Leagues Club Ltd. The ideal applicant will provide outstanding customer service, uphold a friendly environment, and help our dining areas run smoothly and effectively. You will be crucial to making sure visitors have a good time and to our club's ongoing success. As a waiter or waitress at Griffith Leagues Club Ltd., you will join an enthusiastic group committed to providing outstanding dining experiences. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Warmly welcome guests as they arrive, present menus, wine lists, and communicate the day’s specials in a friendly and professional manner. Support club promotions by informing guests about “What’s On” and any current offers. Take guest orders, relay them clearly to both kitchen and bar teams, and monitor that orders are delivered correctly and in a timely fashion. Where appropriate, recommend wine selections or beverages that complement menu items, helping to enhance the guest experience. Open bottles, pour beverages (including responsible service of alcohol), and ensure that drink service adheres to club policies and liquor licensing regulations. Liaise closely with kitchen and bar staff, as well as management, to ensure seamless guest service during peak periods. Prepare dining areas by polishing glassware, arranging cutlery and napery, and maintaining neat, well‑presented tables and surroundings. Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously, delivering an exceptional table‑service experience from start to finish. Accurately process payments via the point‑of‑sale system, issue receipts, and manage any guest queries or payment issues. Clear used plates, bottles and glassware in a timely manner, reset tables efficiently between seatings to maintain flow. Remove cleared dishes, glasses and cutlery and return them to the relevant area or kitchen, keeping dining zones tidy and ready for the next guest. Promote Griffith Leagues Club membership benefits, deals and upcoming events to guests. Assist with setup and service for club functions, live entertainment nights and special events. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across all dining and bar areas, including the Terrace. Follow Work Health and Safety standards. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS AQF Certificate II or III (ANZSCO Skill Level 4) 1 year of relevant work experience required for this role Demonstrated ability to lead a team, deliver exceptional customer service, and manage restaurant operations efficiently. Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques Punctual, organised and trustworthy Professional appearance and excellent communication skills Willingness to take initiative and make decisions Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours LOCATION Griffith, NSW, 2680 WORKING HOURS Full‑time position, 38 hours per week.
