Our Risk and Resilience Business Continuity team currently has an exciting opportunity for a Resilience Officer to join and undertake business continuity management support services for the Groups/Divisions and related in-scope cluster entities within the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
About the Role
In your role as Resilience Officer, you will actively support the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the department’s Business Continuity Management process, managing documentation and administrative processes for reporting systems and procedures, assisting reviews and updates of risk registers and risk management processes as well as analysing and contributing to quality and informative briefs and reports.
You will also drive continuous improvement initiatives with the aim of enhancing knowledge, awareness and culture within the department by partnering with stakeholders as a trusted business continuity advisor, providing advice and guidance, facilitating workshops, reviews, exercises and tests to support strategic and operational objectives.
About You
This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid understanding and experience in business continuity and risk management principles and practices looking to develop their skillset in a diverse environment. Your ability to build and maintain trusted collaborative relationships with stakeholders to ensure you gain a clear understanding of their needs and effectively support the implementation of initiatives and change will be the key to your success.
You will be proactive with high-level time management and organisational skills to prioritise and schedule work to meet competing or tight timelines as well as the confidence and ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in an agile and dedicated team. You will have highly developed verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to anticipate needs, think critically and exercise initiative with a focus on continual improvement.
