As part of our expansion into technology programs, Charlton Brown is seeking a skilled Network and Systems Engineer to support our campus infrastructure and ensure the smooth operation of our digital learning environment. Job duties Maintain and monitor the college’s internal networks, servers, and system infrastructure across all campuses to ensure secure and reliable operations. Manage setup, configuration, and optimisation of network equipment, firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and virtualised environments. Provide technical support for e‑learning platforms, classroom technologies, student systems, and campus IT facilities. Implement and maintain data backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity measures to protect institutional data and meet compliance requirements. Troubleshoot system issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement long‑term solutions to minimise downtime and disruptions. Assist academic teams by providing technical input for IT‑related courses, ensuring teaching facilities and lab environments support curriculum needs. Oversee user access management, system updates, software deployment, and ongoing system improvements. Work with external vendors, IT service providers, and internal stakeholders to plan and deliver infrastructure upgrades and technology projects. Selection Criteria Minimum 5 years of professional experience in network engineering, systems administration, or a similar IT infrastructure role. Relevant bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Networking, or Systems Engineering. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced education environment.
