Job description: Baptcare is seeking enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to support their Mens Group at the Westhaven Aged Care Community in Footscray. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with older male residents and help reduce social isolation through engaging, laid‑back, and meaningful activities. Volunteers will be involved in: Friendly conversations about hobbies, life experiences, or current events Playing card or board games Reading or supporting woodwork or other hands‑on projects Taking relaxed walks through the garden Sharing meaningful moments that brighten a residents day No specific experience is requiredjust warmth, reliability, and a willingness to connect and create a sense of community. Location : Westhaven Aged Care Community, Footscray VIC Skills required : Friendly and confident communicator Comfortable engaging in conversations and group activities Reliable and self‑motivated Respectful and supportive of older adults Able to work independently with a positive attitude Time required : Any weekday (Monday to Friday), between 9:00am and 5:00pm 1 - 2 hours weekly, fortnightly, or monthly Commitment required : Regular minimum of 3 to 6 months preferred.
