We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer toundertake investigations and design of civil infrastructure. The successfulapplicant will be well versed in the preparation of estimates and relateddesign reports as well as experience in the Project management of externalconsultants and the ability to provide engineering advice and services to thevarious departments within Council. Tertiaryqualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent Demonstrated experience in scoping, planning, investigating, designing, and estimating civil engineering projects Comprehensive knowledge of engineering of engineering design standards, guidelines, and practices Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity skills to tackle complex engineering challenges Knowledge in surveying with modern instruments and GPS technologies Strong customer and community engagement focus, with excellent communication, negotiation and report writing skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and Design Software Programs, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and DRAINS Experience in project management, budgeting, and timelines Experience in geotechnical, traffic, and structural engineering projects, including investigation, analysis, and design Previous local government experience and knowledge of government procedures Construction and project management experience, with traffic controller qualifications Further Information Vathsalan Thiagarajah, Lead Design Engineer on Closing Date for above position 24 / 11 / 2025 #J-18808-Ljbffr
