We value diversity, inclusion and a culturally safe workplace. Job Description Grade 3 Speech Pathologist – permanent part‑time (22.8 hours per week). Location: Epworth Geelong, Waurn Ponds. The role involves assessing, managing, and providing client‑centred intervention to patients experiencing swallowing and communication impairments in a hospital setting. Responsibilities Assess and evaluate patients in relation to communication and swallowing abilities and determine appropriate treatment upon diagnosis. Lead and participate in the supervision of Grade 2 and Casual Speech Pathologists, Assistive Health Assistants and students. Apply strong knowledge of assessment and management of swallowing and communication disorders and their impact on patient health and quality of life. Provide evidence‑based, patient‑centred care. Collaborate confidently within the multidisciplinary team. Apply strong time‑management, problem‑solving and prioritisation skills. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Qualifications Extensive clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist (minimum 7 years). Experience in administering and interpreting Swallowing Video Fluoroscopy. Relevant experience in a hospital, rehabilitation or community setting. Experience with tracheostomy management (preferred). Experience with Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (preferred). Additional Information Salary package up to $15,900 pre‑tax annually, with opportunities for additional leave and reduced cost of health services.
