Overview The Chef assists in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, and supports the kitchen team in providing high-quality food services to aged care residents. Preferrably available to work on weekends with early morning starts and straight shifts. Portion food according to dietary guidelines and resident needs. Assist in preparing special dietary requirements. Assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies, ensuring FIFO practices. Help organise pantry, coolroom, fridges, and freezer spaces. Requirements Valid and current Police Certificate. COVID-19 vaccinations x 2 and current flu vaccination highly recommended. Demonstrated experience in catering and food preparation, ideally within an aged care environment. Demonstrated ability to adopt innovative cooking techniques, processes and equipment to improve residents' dining experiences. An understanding of the Australian Quality Standards in Aged Care. 5 years cooking experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
