Strategic Marketing Manager

SafeStyle is searching for a commercially sharp Strategic Marketing Manager (B2B) to lead how our brand shows up across wholesale, retail, optical and commercial channels in Australia and New Zealand. We’re stocked in over 1300+ locations - from tool and trade stores to premium optometrists - and this role is all about strengthening our partner ecosystem, elevating sell‑through, and aligning Brand, Ecommerce, and Sales around a united go‑to‑market plan. What You’ll Do: Lead Strategy & Cross-Channel Alignment Work closely with the Brand Team to develop and execute quarterly brand campaigns that drive sell‑through and partner engagement. Align strategy with Ecommerce, ensuring campaigns show up seamlessly across the website, paid media, email, social and retail environments. Build seasonally aligned B2B marketing programs, launch plans and partnership playbooks. Collaborate with the National Sales Manager and Head of Prescription to align marketing with commercial strategy, account priorities and category opportunities. Develop joint business plans with key wholesalers, retailers, optical partners and industry buying groups. Support the sales team with GTM tools, activation kits, sell‑in decks and trade education materials. On-the-Road Marketing (Travel Required) Travel with Sales Representatives to understand the sales process and identify marketing opportunities directly from the field. Visit stores to check in with store managers, review merchandising, confirm campaign execution and gather ground-level insights. Join the National Sales Manager and Head of Prescription for high‑level commercial partner visits with: Retail Category Managers Buying Group Managers Head Office Marketing Managers Optical Network Partners Attend regional events, roadshows, trade shows, brand activations and retail walkthroughs to strengthen retailer relationships and ensure SafeStyle shows up with impact. Own the national POS plan — including displays, ticketing, merchandising and partner branding. Work with internal designers and external vendors to execute retail fixtures, signage and promotional campaigns. Track execution issues and opportunities from store visits, reporting insights back to Brand, Sales and Product teams. Performance & Reporting Track sell‑through performance across all channels and report key insights. Use data to optimise campaigns, promotions and merchandising initiatives. Continuously improve the commercial effectiveness of every marketing initiative. What You Bring 8–12+ years in strategic marketing, partner marketing, channel marketing or B2B marketing. Experience working with commercial partners, retail chains, buying groups or optical networks. Strong understanding of how Brand, Ecommerce, Sales and Retail integrate in a modern marketing ecosystem. Ability to operate strategically AND get hands‑on in stores, with partners and on the road. Exceptional relationship‑building skills across all levels — from sales reps to category managers and head‑office marketing teams. Confident managing campaigns, budgets, launches and retail ecosystems. Passion for lifestyle, performance or consumer brands — and a collaborative, grounded working style.
