Proudly servicing Queensland communities, Max Stocks employs more than 100 passionate people who are dedicated to delivering excellent service to our customers, and now, due to our continued growth, we are excited to be adding Rockhampton to our established branch locations in Cairns, Townsville and Mackay About the role Max Stocks is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Store Person to join our Cairns warehouse team. We have a full time vacancy available for our afternoon shift working from Sunday to Thursday. This role is all about getting our customer orders ready safely, accurately and with care. You’ll work as part of a well‑oiled team, picking and packing across our freezer, chiller and dry areas, helping make sure our customers get the products they order, every time. Key Responsibilities Assistance with dispatch and loading of vehicle, ensuring orders are packed and stacked in a safe manner to avoid injury and/or damage To undertake all duties in a safe, responsible and courteous manner Pick/pack orders accurately and efficiently Assist in the loading of goods into vehicles for delivery Replenishment of stock into picking locations Correctly present paperwork as per company procedures Practice safe and correct manual handling General warehouse duties in a dry and cold store environment Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications Comfortable working in cold environments (down to -25 °C) Customer focused with an appreciation for being the 'public face' of the company Previous experience and understanding of warehouse and transport operations, preferably in the food service industry Ability to learn a broad range of products Understanding of OHS and HACCP requirements Good organisation, communication, and time‑management skills Highly motivated and flexible, with a solid work ethic and positive, can‑do attitude Be able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment Ability to solve problems and learn a broad range of products Physically fit and able to undertake the duties of the role, including lifting/manual handling and repetitive entering/exiting of a vehicle Max Stocks Offers: Friendly workplace culture Excellent employee benefits including discounts on our range of products Work for a progressive, family‑owned business As part of our recruitment process, do you agree to undertake employment checks?
