We are offering one full‑time position (1.0 FTE) from January to June 2026, as well as an additional temporary part‑time position (0.5 FTE) from January to December 2026. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering evidence‑based nutritional care to children, young people, and their families. You will work within a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team (MDT) including Paediatricians, Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists, a Social Worker, Exercise Physiologist, Administrative Officer, and fellow Dietitians. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the MDT to conduct individual assessments and develop tailored exercise plans to support families to make sustainable lifestyle changes. Position Details This position is district wide, with the location negotiable. The position may be extended depending on service needs. Flexible work arrangements are available within Primary and Community Health. New graduates are welcome to apply. What You’ll Be Doing The position is responsible for providing patient‑centred and high‑quality exercise physiology to consumers, including facilitation of exercise programmes, education, evaluation, supervision of students as appropriate, and participation in ongoing professional development. The team supports diverse populations, offering specialised programmes for children, young people, older adults, and at‑risk communities. With over 800 dedicated staff, including Aboriginal Health Workers, nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, the service ensures high‑quality care close to where people live. Bachelor degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise and Sports Science (or equivalent) with eligibility for ESSA membership. Demonstrated broad range of relevant exercise prescription skills and experience, including experience in the prescription and delivery of chronic care exercise programmes to consumers with varying health conditions and co‑morbidities and/or demonstrated experience in the prescription and delivery of exercise programmes for children and their families. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated high level communication skills (written and verbal) and computer skills. Demonstrated understanding and commitment to quality processes and the application of evidence‑based practice within the field of Exercise Physiology. Applicants must possess an Australian C‑Class driver's licence (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C‑class licence (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C‑class (P1 or P2 included) licence within three months of appointment. Learner's licences are not permitted.
