Job Description Expressions of Interest Position: Special Education Teachers – Aspect Treetop School Australia's largest national provider of autism‑specific educational services Full‑time positions for 2026, and casual positions available now Teaching opportunities for the Aspect Distance Education Program (from Term 2 2026), which provides flexibility to work from home with some onsite requirements Salary range: $84,770 – $122,294 p.a. plus superannuation, depending on accreditation level and years of experience – includes a special education allowance Location: Aspect Treetop School at Ashford (Adelaide), South Australia What you will do As a teacher at Aspect, you will help create a learning environment tailored to the individual needs of students through evidence‑informed best practice in autism. Class sizes are small and you will work with a dedicated teacher aide. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including the student, family, teacher aide, school psychologist, speech therapists and occupational therapists—to develop and deliver quality learning programs. This wrap‑around, multi‑disciplinary approach will help you gain new skills and experience that support your professional goals. About our School Aspect Treetop School provides placement for approximately 80 students on the autism spectrum, ages 4 to 16, with small class sizes and additional staff support. It is the only autism‑specific education program for students from Reception to Year 10 in Adelaide. Aspect Distance Education Program The program allows students on the autism spectrum to learn from home, connecting them to teachers via digital learning tools. Students also participate in outings and excursions each year. It is available for students in Years 3‑12 residing in New South Wales, or Years 3‑6 residing in South Australia (from Term 2 2026).
